The Stylist Foundation was created to bridge the gap between beauty school and the salon floor. While beauty school provides the fundamentals, many new hairstylists enter the industry feeling unprepared and lacking the confidence to succeed behind the chair.
Throughout my 17-year career as a hairstylist and 15+ years as an educator, I've had the opportunity to experience nearly every side of the industry. I've assisted, worked as a commission stylist, rented a booth, managed salons, and owned two successful salons. Through each stage of my career, I noticed the same pattern—so many talented stylists were missing the foundational education that truly shapes their confidence and sets the trajectory for their entire career.
The skills that create successful hairstylists aren't just about color formulas or haircutting techniques. They're about understanding placement, consultations, communication, social media, business, and building systems that allow you to confidently serve your clients every day. Unfortunately, many of these essential skills are often overlooked or simply don't receive enough time in beauty school.
That's why I created The Stylist Foundation.
This program is designed to provide affordable, practical education that fills those gaps through real-world, hands-on learning. Whether you're looking to strengthen your technical skills, gain confidence behind the chair, or build a successful career from the ground up, these classes are designed to give you the knowledge, support, and foundation to thrive in today's salon industry.

POLICIES + Pricing
Unless otherwise noted, all classes are available as a Look + Learn for $150 per student. Students who would like a Hands-On experience may upgrade for an additional $100 per student, bringing the total to $250 per student.
To provide a personalized learning experience and ensure each student receives individual attention, class sizes are limited to a maximum of 10 students.
Custom Classes
Looking for education tailored to your salon or team's needs? Custom classes are available upon request and can be personalized to focus on specific techniques or topics. Custom classes require a minimum of 10 students and are subject to scheduling and availability.
Student Supplies
Unless otherwise noted, students are responsible for providing their own tools, mannequin (doll) head, and any other required supplies for hands-on classes. Live models are welcome if desired but are not required. Any classes that include provided materials or live models will be clearly noted in the class description.
Cancellation Policy
All class registrations are non-refundable. If you are unable to attend your scheduled class, your registration and payment will be forfeited.
If a class must be canceled or rescheduled by the instructor, registered students will be offered a seat in a future class date or have the option to transfer their registration to another available class.
Media Release
Photos and videos may be taken during classes for educational, promotional, and marketing purposes, including use on social media, websites, and other marketing materials. By registering for a class, you acknowledge and consent to the use of your image and likeness unless otherwise discussed with the instructor prior to the start of class.

FOUNDATIONAL CONSULTATIONS
Build confidence in one of the most important parts of every appointment—the consultation. Learn how to ask the right questions, set realistic expectations, discuss pricing, identify your client's goals, create personalized service plans, and confidently communicate throughout the appointment. Through live demonstrations and interactive role-playing with real-world client scenarios, you'll practice navigating consultations with confidence. A great consultation lays the foundation for beautiful results, satisfied clients, and long-term success behind the chair.

Interactive Look and Learn: $150
COLOR MELTING 101
Learn how to create seamless, lived-in color through effective color melting techniques. Often overlooked, color melting is one of the most important foundational skills for achieving soft, dimensional, and blended results. This class covers formulation, root smudging, glossing, blending techniques, and how to create seamless transitions that elevate every color services.
FACE FRAME BLONDING FUNDAMENTALS
Master the art of the perfect face frame with my favorite placements for max impact. Learn strategic foil placement, brightness placement, blending techniques, and toning to create a customized, high-impact result with minimal work.
BALAYAGE HAND PAINTING
Practice the art of balayage painting while building confidence in freehand techniques. Learn proper sectioning, product placement, saturation, brush control, and painting methods to create soft, seamless, natural-looking dimension.
TEXTURIZING HAIRCUTTING CLASS
Take your haircutting to the next level by learning how to remove weight, create movement, and add texture without compromising the shape of the haircut and utilizing over 5 different texturing methods. This class focuses on techniques that create soft, lived-in finishes.

SOCIAL MEDIA BASICS
Learn how to use social media to grow your business and attract your ideal clients. This class covers content creation, filming, editing, captions, branding, and strategies for turning followers into loyal clients.

ETHEREAL HAIR EXTENSION METHOD
Learn the Ethereal Hair Extension Method by Shelby Alexandra— my signature extension technique designed to create seamless, comfortable, and virtually undetectable results. In this class, you'll learn consultations, color matching, installation, maintenance, move-up appointments, pricing, and client education. Discover how to provide extensions that are comfortable to wear, promote healthy hair growth, remain discreet, and can last 8–12 weeks between move-up appointments, giving your clients beautiful, low-maintenance results they'll love.
